Rob & Fab was a duo consisting of Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan. Initially, they were part of Ralph Siegel's band project Empire Bizarre but later joined Frank Farianâs project Milli Vanilli. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Girl You Know Itâs True" from their album All or Nothing in 1988. The album, repackaged as Girl You Know It's True, in the US, was a massive success, reaching Number 1 on the Billboard Charts and featuring several top-ten singles. Despite the initial success, it was revealed that Pilatus and Morvan did not sing any of the songs themselves. This scandal led to the revocation of their Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1990. Following the controversy, the duo reemerged as Rob & Fab and released a self-titled album in 1993. Pilatus passed away in 1998 at the age of 33 due to an overdose of alcohol and drugs.
