Biography

Ricardo Villalobos is a record producer and DJ from Chile who grew up in Germany where he began to play music while at university. He started to perform as a DJ with a minimalist electronic style in 2006 and performed with Richie Hawtin and Luciano at the Loveparade festival in Berlin. He has released several tracks, mixtapes and albums starting with 'Love Family Trax' in 2002, 'Taka Taka' (2003), 'Achso' (2005), 'Fabric 36' (2007), 'Vasco' (2008) and 'Dependent and Happy' (2012). He collaborated with German DJ Butch on 2013 EP 'Up' and second EP 'FÃ¼nfviertel' in 2017. They both feature minimalistic psychedelic tracks recorded at Villalobos's Berlin studio.
