Henry Olavi "Remu" Aaltonen, born on January 10, 1948, in Helsinki, Finland, sings and plays drums. Aaltonen grew up in a family of seven siblings and one foster child. Inspired by American blues music, Aaltonen began playing in various bands during youth. In the early 1970s, Aaltonen formed Hurriganes with bassist Cisse Häkkinen and guitarist Albert Järvinen. Despite a few months of hiatus due to imprisonment in 1974, they performed for many years. The singer's solo career began with the album No Panic (1978) and included notable albums such as Message For You (1983) and Andalusian muistelot (2013). In 2018, Aaltonen received the Suomi-palkinto from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture for an impactful career in arts.
