Trance Dance was a Swedish pop ensemble established in 1985. The group consisted of vocalist Ben Marlene, guitarist Pelle Hökengren, keyboardist P.J. Widestrand, bassist John Stark, drummer Sören Johansson, and vocalists Susanne and Yvonne Holmström. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording A Ho Ho (1986) which peaked at number 19 on the Swedish Albums Chart. The ensemble achieved visibility with the single "Don't Say Go" (1987) reaching number 2 on the Swedish Singles Chart. Their follow-up single "You're Gonna Get It" (1988) also reached number 2 and became their most successful release. Their discography included the studio recording Dancing in the Shadows (1988) and the remix album Off the Record - The Remix Album (1988) which reached number 27. Their final charting single "Push" (1989) reached number 15. The ensemble falling out of the spotlight coincided with the greatest hits compilation Greatest Hits Volume 1 (1990) peaking at number 50. Their final studio recording Twang (1990) was released before the group became inactive in 1991. Hökengren died in 2023.
