Reel People are a pioneering UK collective known for their soulful blend of house, R&B, funk, and nu-jazz. Founded and led by producer and musician Oli Lazarus, Reel People emerged in the early 2000s with a mission to infuse electronic music with the warmth, emotion, and musicality of live instrumentation and powerful vocals. Their critically acclaimed debut album Second Guess (2003) set the tone for their unique soundâuplifting, groove-rich, and deeply rooted in the traditions of soul music. Follow-up releases like Seven Ways to Wonder (2008) and Retroflection (2018) further showcased their knack for collaborating with a diverse array of vocal talent, including names like Tony Momrelle, Omar, Angela Johnson, and Mica Paris. They have continued to put out releases over the years, including 2025's "I'm in Love", which found its way into the UK's Top 100 Physical Singles Sales Official chart.
