Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi, stylized as Red Velvet - IRENE & SEULGI, is the inaugural sub-unit of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet, established by SM Entertainment in 2020. The unit comprises members Bae Joo-hyun (Irene) and Kang Seul-gi (Seulgi). On July 6, the duo unveiled their debut extended play titled Monster, featuring six tracks. The EP gained global recognition, charting in Japan, Belgium, and the UK, as well as securing the 5th position on the US World Billboard Charts and the 2nd spot in Korea. The title track, âMonster,â reached the 3rd spot on the charts, also charting in Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and the U.S.A, earning them a nomination at both the Gaon Chart Music Awards and the Golden Disc Awards, in 2021. On April 14, 2025, they announced their first Asia tour, Balance, which began in Seoul on June 14. The duoâs second EP, Tilt, featuring a title track of the same name, was released on May 26.
