Biography

Rambo Amadeus is a Montenegrin author and performer who was born in SR Montenegro, Yugoslavia. He began a musical career in the late 1970s with local bands in Herceg Novi and Titograd and achieved professional recognition for a musical style that combines jazz fusion, rock, and hip-hop with satirical lyrics. Amadeus released the debut studio album O tugo jesenja (1988), which featured the single “Vanzemaljac” (1988). He is famous for his self-conscious irony and free improvisation during live performances, often compared to the style of Frank Zappa. His discography includes the studio recordings Hoćemo gusle (1989), featuring the tracks “Amerika i Engleska” and “Balkan boy”, and Psihološko propagandni komplet M-91 (1991). In 2012, he represented Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Euro Neuro”. His later work includes the studio recording Brod budala (2020).
