Jacob Basil Anderson, born 18â¯Juneâ¯1990 in Bristol, England, is an English singer, songwriter, and actor who performs under the name Raleigh Ritchie. After early acting roles and a brief filmmaking course, Anderson turned to music in 2013, signing with Columbia Records and releasing the free EP The Middle Child followed by the 2014 EP Black and Blue. The single "Stronger Than Ever" from that EP reached Number 30 on the UK Singles Chart in Juneâ¯2014 and was later remixed by MJâ¯Cole. In 2015 he released the remix EP The Greatest and the single "The Greatest", while also supporting Georgeâ¯Ezra on tour. Andersonâs debut studio album, You're a Man Now, Boy, was issued on 26â¯Februaryâ¯2016 and entered the UK Albums Chart at Number 32. After a brief hiatus, he returned with the single "Aristocrats" in Mayâ¯2020, leading to the release of his second album, Andy, on 26â¯Juneâ¯2020. Subsequent singles "Say What You Mean" (Julyâ¯2021) and "Lucky" followed, and in Mayâ¯2024 he released "Love Is Dumb" ahead of the EP Dead Ends and Diversions, issued 26â¯Julyâ¯2024. The EP includes previously unreleased tracks and recordings from a liveâstream event, and Anderson supported it with two soldâout shows at Outernet London in late Julyâ¯2024.
