Biography

Amanda Lucille Warner, known to the world as MNDR, is a singer-songwriter and producer hailing from Fargo, North Dakota. Born on September 12, 1982, and raised on a farm, her musical journey began early when her father taught her to record using a reel-to-reel in their basement. During her college years, she formed the electro-pop band Triangle, with whom she released two EPs and two studio albums. MNDR's prominence surged when she was featured on Mark Ronson & The Business Intl's 2010 chart-topping single "Bang Bang Bang," which cracked the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. Her solo career took off with the release of the EP, E.P.E., in 2010, and she was soon opening for icons like Duran Duran, Massive Attack, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. After signing with Ultra Records in 2011, she dropped her studio debut Feed Me Diamonds (2012), whose title served as a tribute to artist Marina Abramović. The album spawned the promotional singles "#1 in Heaven," inspired by the story of kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst, and "Faster Horses," named after a quote by Henry Ford. This was followed by the five-track Dance 4 a Dollar, released in 2015 via Fool's Gold Records. In 2016, MNDR filled in for keyboardist Nick Rhodes during Duran Duran's Paper Gods US tour. Preceded by the single "Kimono," featured in the teaser for the eleventh season of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, her second Hell to Be You Baby arrived in 2021.
