Biography
Radiation City was an American indie rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2010. The group consisted of Cameron Spies, Elisabeth Ellison, Randy Bemrose, Matt Rafferty, and Patti King. Their debut album The Hands That Take You was released in February 2011 on Apes Tapes, a cassette-only label owned by Ellison and Spies. The band gained national attention after signing with Tender Loving Empire, who re-released the album in September 2011. Following the addition of multi-instrumentalist Patti King, Radiation City released their second full-length album Animals in the Median on May 21, 2013, which received positive reviews. In 2015, they signed to Polyvinyl Record Co. and released their third full-length album Synesthetica on February 12, 2016. The band disbanded in November 2016 but reunited for a show at Mississippi Studios on June 21, 2024.
