Born Rachel Wammack in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, on June 28, 1994, the country singer who became Rachel Purcell through her marriage to Noah Purcell in 2019, began writing her first songs as a teenager and was elected Miss UNA 2015 at the University of North Alabama, before signing with the RCA Nashville label and settling in the country capital. After a debut EP produced by Dan Huff released in 2018, the singer blending pop and country released the Enough EP in 2019, among several singles noted by the press, such as the song "Damage", written by Tom Douglas and David Hodges. After a three-year absence, the single "Like Me" is released in 2022, before reappearing in 2025 under the artist name Rachel Purcell with the track "Show Up" and the EP Live from Muscle Shoals. On the release of her new single "Mysterious Ways", the song "Show Up" reaches number 40 in the Christian song charts.
