Biography

Singer, rapper, composer, musician and producer Benjamin Fernando Barajas Lasky aka Quadeca was born in Los Angeles on October 2, 2000. Son of video game entrepreneur Mitch Lasky, he turned to music, composing his own songs on guitar or piano. After opening his soccer video channel in 2012 under the name QuadecaX8, he began releasing his rap tracks in 2014 and recorded the self-released EPs Work in Progress (2015), Nostalgia for the Now (2016), Bad Internet Rapper (2017) and Out of Order (2017), before unveiling his debut album Voice Memos in 2019, which peaked at No. 42 on Billboard's independent charts. He collaborated with his former detractor KSI and also Randolph and recorded new material for his second album From Me to You (2021), followed by I Didn't Mean to Haunt You (2022), which saw him experiment in pop, rap and R&B. Celebrated by the specialist press after this eclectic exercise, Quadeca launched the Scrapyard Series, a project consisting of three EPs, Scrapyard I, II and III (2023), and a homonymous mixtape compiling their content, also noticed by the critics, who ranked it among the best productions of 2024. In 2025, the singles "Beamin'" and "Forgone" were released to viral success.
