Psycho Motel was a British hard rock band formed in 1995 by Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith. The band initially started as a project called the Untouchables, featuring Smith on vocals and various other musicians including Jamie Stewart and Carl Dufresne. After several lineup changes, the band renamed itself Psycho Motel and signed a recording deal following an impressive demo. Their debut album State of Mind was released in 1995, followed by Welcome to the World in 1997. The latter featured Andy Makin on lead vocals, bringing a more modern influence to the band's sound. After the release of Welcome to the World, Smith collaborated with Bruce Dickinson before rejoining Iron Maiden in 1999, leading to Psycho Motel's disbandment. Both albums were re-released in 2006, with Welcome to the World including bonus tracks "Wait" and "Just Like A Woman".
