Biography

Sophie Frances Cooke, known mononymously as Frances, and born on June 27, 1993, in Oxford, England, is a British pop, folk, indie pop, and soul musician. She grew up in Newbury and attended St Gabriel's School before studying music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. In August 2014, she gained attention as the featured artist on the track "Fire May Save You" for French label Kitsuné. Her EP Grow was released in 2015 via Communion Records, followed by Let It Out in the same year. In November 2015, she was shortlisted for the 2016 BRIT Awards: Critics' Choice Award and nominated for BBC Sound of 2016. Her debut studio album Things I've Never Said was released in 2017.
