Portable Groove 09 was a Korean electronica trio formed in 2005, comprising members Kim Hyeong-seok (famous K-pop songwriter and producer), DJ Eon (DJ and producer) and Seo Yena (singer). Originating from the Republic of Korea, the group entered the Kâpop scene at a time when electronic influences were gradually permeating mainstream charts. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Portable Groove 09 1st Single" on Decemberâ¯1,â¯2005, which introduced their signature blend of synthâdriven rhythms and melodic vocal lines to audiences across the peninsula. The group maintained a modest following through live performances in Seoul and regional festivals until in 2008, the trio disbanded. The track "Rose Day" from their 1st single album (2005) entered Bugs' Top 100 Rock/Metal songs chart at rank 79 in July 2026.
