Pist. On, an American heavy metal and rock band from New York City, was formed in 1993 by Henry Font and Val.ium. The group released their first demo that same year with Dave Femia on drums. In 1995, they contributed the song "Exhume Her" to the sampler Metal Massacre XII. Pist.On signed with Fierce Recordings in May 1996 and released their debut album Number One, which included a cover of The Smiths' "Shoplifters of the World Unite." The album was produced by Josh Silver and reached gold status in the USA. Following the release, Pist.On toured extensively across North America and Europe with notable acts such as Life of Agony and Marilyn Manson. In 1999, they released their second album $ell Out under Mayhem Records. The band's activity ceased in 2001 after Val.ium left the group following a European tour. Pist.On resumed activities in 2015 with Font, Gans, McManus and Hanley.
