Biography
Phinehas, an American metalcore band, was formed in Los Angeles, California in 2001. The group released a demo in 2005 and went through several lineup changes before settling on Sean McCulloch as vocalist. They independently released the EP The Phinehas in 2009, which led to a tour and the departure of Glenn Gizzi, the only original member remaining at that point. Phinehas signed with Red Cord Records in 2011 and released their debut album Thegodmachine (2011), receiving critical acclaim for its thrash metal-style riffs. The band continued to release albums including The Last Word is Yours to Speak (2013), which charted on the Billboard Top Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts, and Till the End (2015). They signed with Solid State Records in 2017 and released Dark Flag. In 2021, the band followed up with The Fire Itself.
