Biography

For Today, an American Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, Iowa, was formed in 2005 by Ryan Leitru, Mike Reynolds, David Morrison, and Jon Lauters. The band's initial lineup underwent changes, with Mattie Montgomery joining as the lead vocalist. Their debut album, Ekklesia, was released in 2008 through Facedown Records. The following year, they released their second album, Portraits, which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Christian chart. In 2010, For Today signed with Razor & Tie and released Immortal in 2012. They released their fifth album, Fight the Silence, in 2014, followed by Wake in 2015 under Nuclear Blast Records. In July 2016, For Today announced its disbandment via Facebook.
