Biography
Originally from Buéa, Cameroon, Phillbill, whose real name is Diyani Bill Munyenge, began his career in 2008 by co-founding the group Ridimz. The duo made a name for themselves in 2012 with Honeymoon before a string of hits, including"Fedeti" and"Me & You" in 2016. In 2018, they released the Addiction EP, marking a turning point in their career. At the same time, Phillbill develops his solo career and makes a name for himself as a beatmaker. In 2020, he produced several hits and released"Shabasiko", which became a phenomenon. The following year, he followed up with"La clé", then"Benzema" in 2022, consolidating his status on the Cameroonian music scene. In 2023, he signed Fap Kolo, a new success, and multiplied his collaborations. In 2024, he was honored at the Balafon Muzik Awards and nominated at the Trace Awards as Best Francophone Artist, confirming his impact on afropop and afro-bikossa.
