Originally from Bafang, Cameroon, Kameni, whose real name is Kate Edube Kameni, was born on March 9, 1993. After graduating with a degree in marketing from the Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) in Buea, she began making music at the age of 14, posting freestyles and videos on her social networks. Her career really took off in 2019, when her freestyle"Mashup" went viral, garnering over 30,000 views in one month. This success led to her signing with the Mate Gomez label and the release of her first singles,"Boss" and"Nayo Nayo", which proved popular with young Cameroonians. In 2020, she released her first EP Love & Hustle, with tracks like"Ghetto" and"Tombé". Active on social networks, Kameni campaigns for the empowerment of young girls, advocating the importance of hard work and perseverance.
