Phil Campbell, born Philip Seth Campbell in Glasgow in 1979, is a Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist known as the lead singer of British band The Temperance Movement. He initially pursued a solo career, recording the albums Fresh New Life (1997), Joy (2007), After the Garden (2008), Daddy's Table (2009) and Saviour's Song (2010), before co-founding The Temperance Movement in 2011 with Luke Potashnick, Paul Sayer, Nick Fyffe and Damon Wilson. His powerful, soulful voice contributed to the success of the band, whose albums The Temperance Movement (2013) and White Bear (2016) were hailed for their blend of classic rock, blues and British soul. After leaving the band in 2020, Phil Campbell pursued a solo career under the name Phil Seth Campbell, exploring more introspective sounds, blending folk, rock and Americana influences, while continuing to perform live in the UK and Europe. He released the albums London Communion (2022) and City Lights (2023), before returning to The Temperance Movement.
