Biography

Indie rock singer and songwriter Kyle Falconer was born June 6, 1987 in Dundee, Scotland. He first rose to fame as the lead singer of The View, a band that topped the UK charts with their 2007 debut Hats Off to the Buskers. The band remained popular even though he suffered from substance abuse issues that occasionally left the band unable to perform scheduled gigs. His first foray into a career outside the band happened in 2010 when he was feature on Mark Ronson & the Business Intl. Number 17 hit “The Bike Song”. However, it wasn’t until after the birth of his first child that he embarked on a proper solo career with the 2018 album No, Thank You. That album showcased his unique spin on pop/rock music, informed by his appreciation for Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and Oasis among other classic British rock acts. His 2021 follow-up No Love Songs for Laura included the singles “Laura” and “Stressball”. His third album, The One I Love the Most, emerged in 2025 and assumed a more pop-leaning character than previous efforts.
