Pernille Bévort, born on April 13, 1966, in Lyngby, Denmark, is a jazz musician. She began playing the recorder at age seven and later switched to the saxophone, eventually focusing on the tenor saxophone. Her interest in jazz developed at nineteen. Bévort studied at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen from 1989 to 1993. Later, she performed with notable bands including those led by Ernie Wilkins and Erling Kroner, the Danish Radio Big Band, and the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra. In 1996, she formed her own band, releasing several albums, including A Live (1997), My Shop (2004), Radio Bévort (2006), and Who's Blue (2019). Bévort won the Ben Webster Prize at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2001 and received the JASA prize from the Danish Jazz Critics Association in 2003.
