Josep Sala i Bellavista, known professionally as Pep Sala, is a Spanish musician and singer-songwriter born on July 17, 1960, in Vic. He studied music in Great Britain and collaborated on soundtracks for Warner Bros before returning to Catalonia in 1985. There, he co-founded the rock group Sau with Carles Sabater and Joan Capdevila, where Sala served as guitarist and composer. His breakthrough came with their 1990 album Quina nit, which featured the hit song "Boig per tu". The band achieved significant success, performing at notable venues like Palau Sant Jordi in June 1991. Following Sabaterâs death in February 1999, Sala continued his musical journey with projects such as Pep Sala & La Banda del Bar and a solo career that included albums like Nascuts En La Boira (1999) and Una Nit Amb Orquestra (2003).
