The Peatbog Faeries, a Scottish musical group based in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, formed in 1991. Known for their Celtic fusion sound, blending traditional Celtic music with genres like folk and rock, they released their debut album Mellowosity in 1996. Their second album, Faerie Stories, was signed to a New York label but not released until 2001 due to record company issues. The band then established Peatbog Records and released Welcome to Dun Vegas in 2003, introducing vocals into their music. Notable albums include Croftwork (2005), What Men Deserve to Lose (2007), and Blackhouse (2015). The Peatbog Faeries have won "Live Band of the Year" at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards twice, and were nominated for the same award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
