Biography

Paul Rein is a Swedish songwriter and music producer born Pauli Kaj Olavi Reinikainen on May 20, 1965, in Danderyd. He began his professional journey as a singer in the 1980s, releasing Italo disco singles such as “Lady-O”, “Touch”, and the controversial 1984 track “Sex”. In 1986, he released the English-language studio album Communicate, which featured the hit “Stop (Give It Up)”. Rein is best known within the music industry for writing and producing several international hits, most notably the Christina Aguilera single “Come on Over (All I Want Is You)”, which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has also composed successful tracks for artists including Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, and Victoria Beckham. Beyond his production work, he participated in the 1988 Melodifestivalen as a performer and returned to the competition as a writer in 2003.
