Paul Kleber, born in 1973 in Berlin, Germany, is a jazz bassist and composer. He began his musical journey playing cello and jazz drums before focusing on the double bass. Kleber studied classical double bass at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, followed by a jazz program at the University of the Arts Berlin. In 1996, he started collaborating with Lisa Bassenge, contributing to her trio and later projects like Micatone (1999) and Nylon (2004). Together, they co-wrote many compositions and arrangements for these formations. Kleber was also a member of JazzIndeed, releasing two albums with the band. His discography included appearances on albums by artists such as Jazzanova, Barbara Buchholz, Sebastian Studnitzky, Christoph Adams, Adoro, Anna Margolina, and Daniel Weltlinger. In 2024, he released his debut album Little Home.
