Biography

Patrick Norman Yandall, born September 5, 1959 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is an American smooth jazz guitarist. Raised in Bay City, Michigan, he graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1977 and attended Central Michigan University. His music career began with the release of That Feels Nice in the early 1990s. Yandall's breakthrough came with the single "Tower of Soul" from his 2010 album The Window, which spent five weeks at Number 1 on the Smooth Jazz Now chart and reached Number 1 on the Live 365 smooth jazz radio chart. His music has been featured in films such as Fruitvale Station with "Mr. Fattburger" and War, Inc. with "Who's the Bossa". Notable collaborations include Randy Brecker, Will Lee, and Joel Rosenblatt on his album From the Ashes. Yandall has been nominated multiple times at the San Diego Music Awards, including for Rouge River in 2021.
