Panteón Rococó, a Mexican ska band formed in 1995 in Mexico Cityâs Gustavo A. Madero district, has become a cultural icon by blending ska, punk, rock, salsa, mariachi, and reggae into a powerful sound that reflects their commitment to social justice and Mexican identity. Inspired by the Zapatista movement, the bandâs debut album A la Izquierda de la Tierra (1999) resonated deeply with audiences and featured the hit "La Dosis Perfecta," which catapulted them into the national spotlight. Over the years, albums like Compañeros Musicales (2002), Tres Veces Tres (2004), and Ejército de Paz (2010) solidified their reputation, mixing dynamic music with lyrics addressing Mexico's social issues. Known for their electrifying live shows, theyâve performed at major events like Mexicoâs Vive Latino festival and gained a dedicated fan base in Europe, particularly in Germany. Despite delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Panteón Rococó celebrated a historic milestone in 2021 with three sold-out nights at Mexico Cityâs Foro Sol, followed by the release 2021's Ofrenda.
