Biography
Othon Mataragas, known professionally as OTHON, was born on July 30, 1979, in Greece and is a Greek musician, composer, pianist, songwriter, producer, and DJ. He began playing the piano at age four and graduated from the National Conservatoire in Greece with distinction at sixteen. In the late 1990s, Mataragas moved to London, where he studied piano and composition at institutions including the Royal College of Music and Trinity College of Music. Mataragas released his debut album, Digital Angel, in 2008, featuring collaborations with Marc Almond, David Tibet, and Ernesto Tomasini. Following a spiritual epiphany in 2012, Mataragas released his third album, Pineal, in 2014 via Cherry Red Records/Strike Force Entertainment.
