Biography
Osunlade, born Christian Carlos Warren on March 13, 1969, is an American musician and producer from St. Louis, Missouri. He began his career composing music for Sesame Street before working with artists including Patti LaBelle and Freddie Jackson. After relocating to New York, he founded Yoruba Records to release music reflecting his artistic vision. Over the years, he has collaborated with Roy Ayers, Salif Keita, Cesária Ãvora, and PoranguÃ, among others. His notable solo albums include Aquarian Moon (2006), Elements Beyond (2007), and Rebirth (2009). Osunlade is also an ordained priest of the Yoruba religion of Ifá.
