Only Living Witness was an American metal band formed in 1989 in Boston, United States. The group was established by Jonah Jenkins and Eric Stevenson and developed a sound influenced by hardcore punk and heavy metal. Their debut album, Prone Mortal Form (1993), was released through Century Media Records. The ensemble's recordings include the album Innocents (1996), though the band became inactive in 1995. The musicians resumed activity for reunion performances in 2008. Stevenson died in 2011 at age 43. The group's work influenced later metalcore acts, and the band Shadows Fall recorded a cover of their track âDecemberâ (1993) for the film Let's Be Cops (2014).
