Motionless in White, an American alternative rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania (United States), was formed in 2005 by guitarist and vocalist Chris Motionless, drummer Angelo Parente, guitarist Frank Polumbo, and bassist Kyle White. A self-titled demo was released in 2005, but it wasnât until 2010âafter several lineup changesâthat the band released its debut album Creatures (No. 175 in the U.S.). Two years later, Infamous reached No. 53 on the Billboard chart. With Reincarnate, Motionless in White achieved the highest chart position of their career, entering the Top 10 and climbing as high as No. 9. In 2017 and 2019, Graveyard Shift and Disguise both peaked at No. 27 on the U.S. charts. Three years later, the band returned with the album Scoring the End of the World, which reached No. 12 on the Billboard chart. Their success was cemented in 2022 when Masterpiece reached number one on Billboardâs Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. In 2023, Motionless in White released a deluxe edition of Scoring the End of the World, featuring several previously unreleased tracks, and then continued their intense touring schedule with the Dark Horizon Tour and the Touring the End of the World Tour. The band also launched Apocalypse Fest in Pennsylvania, where they celebrated the anniversaries of Reincarnate in 2024 and Infamous in 2025. After another writing phase, Motionless in White returns in 2026 with Afraid of the Dark, then releases its seventh album, Decades, on Friday, July 17. The album features collaborations with Corey Taylor and Skylar Grey.
