Okta Logue, from Griesheim, Hessen, Germany, formed in 2007. Benno Herz and Philip Meloi formed the psychedelic rock and indie rock group, initially known as Zaphire Oktalogue, with Robert Herz. They released the debut album Ballads Of A Burden (2009) under Nasoni Records, which Columbia/Sony Music later re-released in 2011. The second album Tales Of Transit City (2013) garnered critical acclaim, leading to international tours supporting acts like Portugal. The Man and Neil Young & Crazy Horse. On February 11, 2016, Nicolai Hildebrandt left, replaced by Max Schneider on organ and synthesizers. They released the third album Diamonds And Despair (2016) on April 15, 2016, peaking at number 68 on the German Albums Top 100 Chart. They released a fourth studio album Runway Markings (2019).
