Biography

O'Funk'Illo is a Spanish funk rock and funk metal band from Seville, formed in 1997. The ensemble consists of lead singer Andreas Lutz, bassist Pepe Bao, and guitarist Javi Lynch Marssiano. The group performed as Motherfunkers before adopting their current name. They released their self-titled debut album, O'funk'illo, in 2000, which featured the track “Nos vamos pal keli”. In 2003, the band released En el planeta Aseituna, including the song “Fiesta, siesta”. Their third album, No te cabe na', appeared in 2005 and featured the single “Mary Jane”. The group received the Best Alternative Rock Album award at the 2006 Premios de la Música before becoming inactive later that year. O'Funk'Illo resumed activity in 2010, subsequently releasing Sesión golfa (2011) and 5mentario (2014). The ensemble released the compilation 20 años a jierro & 30 amigos embrutessío' in 2018 and O'funk'illoterapia in 2020. The band released the singles “El Tato Bootsy” in 2024 and “Huele a funk” in 2025.
