Obsequiae is an American metal band that was founded in 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group combines melodic black metal with medieval sounds and is categorized as medieval metal. Founding member Tanner Anderson is responsible for vocals, guitar and bass. Other members are Vicente La Camera Mariño on harp and Andrew Della Cagna on drums. Later, Eoghan McCloskey joins as drummer. The discography begins with the debut album Suspended in the Brume of Eos (2011). This was followed by Aria of Vernal Tombs (2015), which was positively received by critics. The third album, The Palms of Sorrowed Kings, was released in 2019. Obsequiae's music is known for its integration of medieval harp sounds into metallic structures.
