Biography

Amalie Bruun, born on 6 January 1985 in Copenhagen, is a Danish singer known for her solo project Myrkur. Initially keeping her identity anonymous, she debuted with the self-titled EP Myrkur in September 2014 under Relapse Records, handling vocals, guitars, bass, and production. The following year, she released her debut full-length album M, produced by Kristoffer Rygg of Ulver. In August 2016, she released a live album titled Mausoleum. Her second full-length album, Mareridt, was released in September 2017. Her 2020 album Folkesange marked a shift towards folk music traditions. Fourth studio album Spine was released in October 2023 through Relapse Records.
