Noelia Lorenzo Monge, known as Noelia, was born on August 31, 1979, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She began her music career in 1998, releasing her debut album Noelia in February 1999 under Fonovisa Records. The album featured the hit single "Tú", which reached number 5 on Billboard's Hot Latin Track chart. Released in 2000, her sophomore album Golpeando Fuerte topped Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart.
