Biography

Nito Mestre y Los Desconocidos de Siempre was a folk rock band from Argentina, formed in 1976 by Nito Mestre following the dissolution of his previous group, Sui Generis. The band became a prominent and leading group in the Argentine rock scene during the dictatorial era. Their debut album Nito Mestre Y Los Desconocidos De Siempre was released in 1977, featuring notable tracks such as "Fabricante De Mentiras", which later ranked number 65 on rock.com.ar's list of the 100 best songs in the history of Argentine rock. The band's second album Nito Mestre Y Los Desconocidos De Siempre II followed in 1978, and their third album Saltaba Sobre Las Nubes was released in 1979. The group disbanded in 1980 after recording three albums.
