Biography
Born Courtney Freckleton, Nines is a British rapper based in North West London who rose to fame after releasing a series of mixtapes, beginning with 'From Church Road to Hollywood' in 2012.
His track 'Can't Blame Me', taken from fourth mixtape 'One Foot In', reached ten million views on YouTube and attracted the attention of major record labels. He signed to XL Recordings in 2016 and released his debut record 'One Foot Out' the following year which reached the top five in the UK Albums Chart.
In April 2018, he released his second record 'Crop Circle', which again reached the UK top five, featuring other UK rappers like Dave and Skrapz. Lead single 'I See You Shining' reached the top 40 Singles Chart for the first time in his career and both the single and album were certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry.
