Myele Manzanza, born around 1988, is a New Zealand jazz and fusion musician. Raised in a musical family, he was introduced to African rhythms by his father, Sam Manzanza, and began playing drums at age 14. His breakthrough came as the drummer for Electric Wire Hustle from 2007 to 2013. In 2010, he participated in the Red Bull Music Academy London. Manzanza's debut album One was released in 2012, followed by the live album OnePointOne (Live at the Blue Whale) in 2016 and A Love Required in 2019. Notable collaborations include work with Theo Parrish, Benny Tones, Funkommunity, Ross McHenry, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and Marcus Strickland.
