Biography

mssv, an American experimental rock band formed in 2019, consists of Mike Baggetta, Mike Watt, and Stephen Hodges. The trio initially recorded Wall of Flowers with drummer Jim Keltner, but due to Keltner's travel constraints, Hodges joined for touring. Their debut live album, Live Flowers, was released in 2019, featuring songs from Wall of Flowers and covers such as "Fun House" by The Stooges. In February 2020, mssv announced their intention to play the 2020 Big Ears Festival, which was later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their first studio album, Main Steam Stop Valve, was released in September 2020 under BIG EGO Records.
