Biography

Explosions in the Sky, a post-rock band from Texas, came to prominence with the release of their first self-produced album, How Strange, Innocence, in 2000, which was subsequently reissued. In the meantime, the quartet led by guitarists Munaf Rayani and Mark Smith has built up an instrumental body of work to match its name, with albums with long titles such as Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever (2001) and All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone (2007). In 2014, Explosions in the Sky collaborated with composer Steve Jablonsky on the soundtrack to the film Lone Survivor. Two years later, their sixth album, The Wilderness, is released.
