Biography

Mark David Hollis, who died aged 64 in 2019, was an English singer-songwriter who achieved fame as lead singer with the synth-pop band Talk Talk. The publicity-shy performer had hit singles with the group from 1981 until 1992 when they disbanded. Earlier, he was in a group called The Reaction and later he pursued a solo career. He retired from the music industry after the release of his eponymous debut album in 1998. He passed away in February 2019 after a short illness.
