Bryan Jones, known professionally as Mr. Pookie, was born on March 27, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, and is an American rapper. He attended L.V. Berkner High School but was later expelled during his eleventh grade. Mr. Pookie's music career began with a feature on K-Roc's 1998 solo release Tha Rockla. In late 1999, he released his debut album Tha Rippla, which included notable tracks such as "Crook 4 Life" and "Smoke One". The album sold over ninety thousand copies in both its regular and chopped-and-screwed versions. Mr. Pookie co-owns Crawl 2 Ball Records (now Stoney Crook Recordz) with his rap partner Jeron Gibson, also known as Mr. Lucci. In 2003, they independently released My Life, which peaked at number 59 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album Charts.
