Biography
Mor Dagor, a German death metal band from Essen, was founded in 1996 by drummer Torturer, singer Grond, and guitarist T. Initially rooted in black metal, Mor Dagor evolved towards death metal over time. The band's name is derived from J.R.R. Tolkienâs fictional language Sindarin, translating to "Dark Battle". In their early years, the group released Bloodstream, a mini-CD recorded at the CKB-Studio in Essen. Following lineup changes that included the addition of Beast and Pestilence, Mor Dagor released their debut studio album, Human Execution, in December 2001. The band's subsequent releases include Necropedophilia (2004) and Mk. IV (2009). Notable tours include the Raid on Mankind Tour with Dawn of Fate in October 2011, and appearances at festivals such as Kings of Black Metal in Alsfeld in 2012. Their album Redeemer was released in 2015 under Osmose Productions.
