MM Gakuen Chorus Club (MMå¦ååå±é¨) is a female artist group derived from the Japanese TV anime "Gokujo! Mechamote Committee Chairman". The core member was Mana Ogawa (born July 2, 1993 in Saitama Prefecture), who played the main character, Mimi Kitagami. As her supporting chorus members, she is a member of THE Possible, which belongs to NICE GIRL Project! and members of THE Possible and Canaari Club, who belong to the NICE GIRL Project! Although the club was set up with 33 members, the selected members sang the actual songs. On May 20, 2009, they released their debut single "Mechamote I LOVE YOU". The song became popular as the opening theme song for an anime, and was a good start, reaching No. 18 on the Oricon Weekly Chart. It was followed by a series of hits, including "Daisuki ni Nareru! and other hits, and led the "Mechamote" boom through live performances and cultural festival events. The costumes and choreography faithfully reproduced the world of the work, making them icons for the girls in the audience.
