Biography

Min Hae-kyung, born on 18 April 1962 in Daegu, is a South Korean singer who made her musical debut in 1980, going on to gain recognition in the 1980s for her vocal and dance abilities. Her breakthrough came with the release of her album Min Hae Kyung in September 1986, which included notable tracks like "One Girl's Love Story" (어느 소녀의 사랑이야기). Following this success, she released several albums, including Min Hae Kyung 9 in 1989. Her career continued with releases such as Jump '90 in 1990, Jump '91 in 1991, and Love In Me in 1992. Min Hae-kyung's achievements include winning the Grand Prix at the ABU Song Festival in 1990 and the Teenage Song Contest in 1994. She has also released compilation albums like Best of Best in March 1995, Wind of Change in June 1995, and Rose & Best in August 2002. After some time off from putting out albums, she returned in 2013 with Vol. 17th: Balance and has continued to release music sporadically, including the trot album 히스토리 40년 in 2019.
