Biography

Lee Sun Hee, born Sun-hee Lee on 11 November 1964, in Boryeong, South Chungcheong, Republic of Korea, is a singer known for her versatile contributions to pop music. She started her career by winning the Grand Prix MBC Riverside Song Festival with "Dear J" in 1984, followed by the Best Newcomer Award at the KBS Music Awards the same year. Her debut album Ah! The Good Old Days was released in October of that year. Lee Sun Hee's discography spans several decades, including notable albums like First Love (1996), Dream of Ruby (1998), and My life + Best (2001). She collaborated with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra on an eponymous album in 1990. Her song "Destiny" from the film The King and the Clown gained significant popularity. Lee Sun Hee also contributed to various soundtracks, including "Fox Rain" for the drama My Girlfriend Is Gumiho. In February 2011, she performed at New York's Carnegie Hall, setting a record for ticket sales by a Korean artist in the city. Serendipity, a 30th-anniversary album, arrived in 2014.
