Michelle Urbaniak, known professionally as Mika Urbaniak, and born in 1980 in New York City, is a pop singer. She began writing songs at 11 and performed publicly at 14, releasing her first vocal track a year later. In 2009, she issued her debut album Closer, which peaked at number 2 on the OLiS chart and earned the Fryderyk award for Pop Album of the Year in 2010. Her second album, Follow You, followed in 2012, reaching number 12 on OLiS, and featured singles "Pixelated" and "Don't Speak Too Loud" that charted on LP3.
